Two popular events at the Living History Park will be combined this year; Christmas in the Backcountry and Christmas for the Birds. Both events will be held at the Park the weekend after Thanksgiving; Saturday, Nov. 26th and Sunday, Nov. 27th. Come visit with the townsfolk of Willow Springs as they prepare for the holidays. The Village will awaken at 10 am each day on to a period representation from our area’s past. From 11 am to 2 pm, children can decorate pinecones and popcorn garland to feed our feathery friends at the park. Father Christmas will join us at the Meeting House on Saturday from 11am to 4 pm to talk with the children.
This is the perfect opportunity to start your own holiday season by escaping the hustle and bustle of our over-the-top traditions and enjoy a peaceful stroll through history. This a free event but donations are greatly appreciated. Please share your holiday spirit with local pet shelters by bringing pet food donations to the event.
