Christmas in the Backcountry 2022

Two popular events at the Living History Park will be combined this year; Christmas in the Backcountry and Christmas for the Birds. Both events will be held at the Park the weekend after Thanksgiving; Saturday, Nov. 26th and Sunday, Nov. 27th.  Come visit with the townsfolk of Willow Springs as they prepare for the holidays. The Village will awaken at 10 am each day on to a period representation from our area’s past.   From 11 am to 2 pm, children can decorate pinecones and popcorn garland to feed our feathery friends at the park. Father Christmas will join us at the Meeting House on Saturday from 11am to 4 pm to talk with the children.

This is the perfect opportunity to start your own holiday season by escaping the hustle and bustle of our over-the-top traditions and enjoy a peaceful stroll through history.  This a free event but donations are greatly appreciated.  Please share your holiday spirit with local pet shelters by bringing pet food donations to the event.

The North Augusta Living History Park is located at 299 W. Spring Grove Avenue, North August SC.  Check out our website at for more information about the Park and its events. All building close at 5pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.
